meet the band
Brian Church, bassist and vocalist, has been a regular presence on the Boston Performing Arts Scene for the past 25 years. He has a Bachelor of Music Education from The College of New Jersey and a Masters in Voice from New England Conservatory. Brian makes his living both as an educator and as a freelance Classical singer in the Greater Boston area. Brian performs regularly with the Renaissance Men, Cantata Singers, King's Chapel Choir and Guerilla Opera. Underneath all that, Brian has held a deep love of Oldies and Classic Rock, going back to his childhood listening to the Doo Wop Shop with Don K. Reed and Cousin Brucie on 101 CBS FM in the New York area. He has been playing in bands since he was 12 with music ranging from acoustic folk, pop, avant-jazz and punk. Brian is excited to be returning to his first musical love, performing the classics of the 50's and 60's with Music Memories Events.
Kevin Burke is a Berklee College of Music alumnus, veteran percussionist, and arts advocate with 35 years of performance experience across the Boston area. His diverse background spans classical, rock, jazz, and musical theater, including stage appearances alongside legends like Sally Struthers, Yo-Yo Ma, Shirley Jones, John Davidson, Bob McGrath and Rachel York. Following a celebrated 31-year career as a school instrumental music teacher, Kevin is continuing his mission of making music accessible at every stage of life. He is delighted to join the team at Music Memories Events to bring high-quality live music experiences and creative growth to older adults.
Joe Collins is a multi-instrument musician with over 40 years’ playing experience in and around the New England area. He holds a B.A. from Berklee College of Music and has an extensive musical background including Rock, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Classical, and Musical Theater. He is proficient on Keyboard, Guitar, Bass and Drums and in his free time Joe enjoys offering his therapeutic Drum Circle activities at local Nursing Homes throughout the region. Joining Music Memories Events is a natural fit given his desire to create memorable therapeutic musical experiences with his lifelong passion for music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
Brad Young is a guitarist and vocalist with decades of experience as a performer, educator, and music producer. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Brad has worked professionally in the music industry since the early 90's
In addition to performing, Brad is an active music educator who teaches guitar and piano to students of all ages. His passion for music spans classic rock, pop, and contemporary styles, with a special appreciation for the timeless songs that continue to bring people together across generations.
